How This Share Calculator Works
This NEPSE share calculator computes the total cost of buying shares and the net proceeds from selling them after accounting for all applicable charges — broker commission, SEBON fee, DP charge, and capital gain tax.
Broker commission follows the NEPSE tiered slab system. SEBON fee is 0.015% of the share transaction amount. DP charge (Rs 25) is a flat fee for share transfer. Capital gain tax is levied only when there is a positive gain — 5% for individual investors holding shares longer than 365 days, 7.5% for shorter holding periods, and 10% for institutional investors.
