Guides & FAQs
Registration process
Register via connectips.com or the mobile app. Important Mobile number and email must match what your bank has on file. Username is permanent and cannot be changed.
How to link a bank account
Login → Dashboard → Bank Account → Link Account. Enter account number and name exactly as on bank records. Mismatched names usually stay Pending or are Rejected.
Self-verification (micro-deposits)
- Open Self Verify in the app.
- NCHL credits two small paisa amounts within about 24 hours.
- Enter both amounts from SMS or statement.
- Typical cap: Rs. 1 lakh / day (confirm in app).
Manual verification (higher limits)
For large transfers (e.g. up to Rs. 20,00,000 on web): download the verification form, sign to match bank records, and submit at your branch. Staff typically updates status to Accepted within about one business day.
Changing mobile or email
Critical Editing profile contact details usually auto-suspends linked accounts for security. Plan to re-verify each linked account afterward.
Releasing a suspended link
Suspension can follow password reset, profile changes, or risk checks.
- Manual verification: Often requires a fresh signed link form at the branch.
- Self-verified: You may repeat micro-deposits or complete branch steps per bank guidance.
Transaction fees (NCHL slabs — confirm current)
- Rs. 0 – 500
- FREE
- Rs. 501 – 5,000
- Rs. 4
- Above Rs. 5,000
- Rs. 8
Government payments: fee often capped (e.g. max Rs. 5) — verify latest tariff.
User ID locked (not the bank account)
Usually no branch visit. Email support@nchl.com.np from your registered address with a clear ID scan (e.g. citizenship / passport) to request unlock.
Favourite transfers
Save frequent beneficiaries in the app for faster payments. Review saved details before sending, especially after profile or bank changes.
Government payments
Pay IRD and other government receivables through the designated connectIPS / linked flows. Fees may follow a lower government cap — check the payment screen and NCHL notices.
