📲 NEPALPAY TAP (connectIPS)
Offline NFC payment feature for P2P/P2M.
SETUP: Login connectIPS > Profile > Enable NEPALPAY TAP > Set Limit (Rs. 500-5000) > Enter Txn Password.
USAGE: Simply tap your NFC-enabled Android phone on a NEPALPAY TAP POS device.
🔥 FoneTAG via Fonepay App
Offline payment via NFC or Customer Presented QR (CPQR).
ACTIVATION: Home > Offline Payments > Select Linked Bank > Activate > Enter OTP.
USAGE: Logout > Login Page > Tap Offline Payment > Select FoneTAG or CPQR.
🏛️ Mobile Banking (Citizens / Everest)
Direct integration in Citizens Smart and EBL Touch 24.
SETUP: Login > Settings > Offline Payments > Select Account > Activate via OTP.
LOCATION: Once enabled, the Tap to Pay Offline button appears below the login button on the login screen.

💳 NFC Cards & ATM Tap
Contactless Cards: Look for the symbol. Tap on POS terminals for fast checkout.
NFC ATM: (e.g., NIMB) Tap card on the ATM’s NFC Reader instead of inserting. Enter PIN to proceed with cash withdrawal. More secure against skimming.
🔒 The Rs. 5,000+ PIN Rule
Under Rs. 5,000: PIN-LESS. Just tap and go.
Above Rs. 5,000: PIN REQUIRED. For cards, you must insert/dip card and enter PIN. For Mobile, you must authorize via Biometric/PIN even if screen is unlocked.
Limit Check: After 5 consecutive PIN-less taps, the system forces a PIN entry to verify owner presence.
🛡️ What is an “Offline Token”?
A one-time authorization token generated during activation. It allows your device to communicate with a merchant terminal without a live internet connection. SAFETY: Tokens are encrypted and time-bound. Refresh them by logging in once every 48 hours.
